Linertec One (1) Year Limited Warranty

For Linertec Branded Products Only

What is covered by this warranty?

Linertec warrants the following Linertec branded hardware products: pre-amplifiers, amplifiers, crossovers, megaphones/loudhailers to be against defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from date of original purchase. In all cases you must have the original receipt. Should service be necessary under the warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect during the warranty period, Linertec will repair or replace (at its discretion) the defective merchandise with equivalent merchandise. Warranty replacements may have cosmetic scratches and blemishes. Discontinued products may be replaced with more current equivalent products. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser.

This warranty ONLY applies to Linertec branded hardware products bought from our website or an authorized distributor. If you bought your Linertec branded product from an authorized distributor please contact them regarding warranty service.

Please note this Warranty does not apply to any non-Linertec branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with Linertec hardware.

What is not covered in this warranty?

This warranty does not cover the following;

  1. Damage occurring during shipment. Damage during shipment is the responsibility of the carrier.
  2. Damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, improper connections, improper installation, improper operation, and/or subsequent damage to other components.
  3. Consumable parts, such as batteries, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
  4. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
  5. Damage caused by use of a third party component or product.
  6. Repeated returns for the same damage may be considered abuse.
  7. Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessive heat, chemical cleaners, and/or UV radiation.
  8. Damage caused by acts of hostility or terrorism.
  9. Damage caused by Acts of God, including without limitation, earthquake, fire, flood, storms or other acts of nature.
  10. Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Linertec product.
  11. Damage caused by and service performed by an unauthorized person, company, organisation or service agent.
  12. Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of product.
  13. Any product which has the serial number removed, detached or defaced.
  14. Any product with tampered or missing barcode and anti-tamper labels.
  15. Any product which has been adjusted, altered or modified without Linertec's consent.
  16. Any product that has been determined to contain an excessive amount of dust, or dirt or unreasonable environmental conditions.
  17. Any products returned without a return authorization number.
  18. Speakers damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion.
  19. The cost of shipping product to and from Linertec.
  20. Service performed by anyone other than Linertec.

How to obtain warranty service?

Please email us at support@linertec.co.za with the following information:

  1. You must provide a detailed description of the problem and a list of associated components installed in your vehicle
  2. You must provide suitable proof of purchase for the product. This includes the order number and copy of the original Linertec invoice showing purchase date, model and customer name.
  3. You must provide proof of installation tax invoice from a VAT registered Car Audio fitment centre to validate the warranty.

After we have received your email and if the above conditions have been met, we will send you a return authorization number document and instructions on where to send the product for warranty.

The following steps must be followed and documents must be included:

  1. The return authorization number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package. Please return only defective components. If a package is sent without the return authorization number clearly marked on the outside, the package will be refused.
  2. Include a copy of the original receipt with the purchase date clearly visible, and a “proof-of-purchase” statement listing the customers name, invoice number, and product purchased. Shipping must be prepaid; items sent freight collect, or COD, will be refused.

Failure to follow these steps may void your warranty.

Limitation of Liability

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINERTEC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE; LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS ON CONTRACTS); LOSS OF THE USE OF MONEY; LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, COMPROMISE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA; OR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE HOWSOEVER CAUSED INCLUDING THE REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH THE LINERTEC PRODUCT OR ANY FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION STORED IN THE LINERTEC PRODUCT.

THE FOREGOING LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS, OR ANY STATUTORY LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL AND GROSS NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS. LINERTEC DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY LINERTEC PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR REPLACE THE LINERTEC PRODUCT WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS OF INFORMATION STORED ON THE LINERTEC PRODUCT.

SOME STATES (COUNTRIES AND PROVINCES) DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Warranty Regarding Other Products

For other company branded hardware products sold on Linertec.co.za

On Linertec.co.za we sell products from other companies as well. Please refer to that specific company's warranty if you are in need of warranty service but please remember to NOT send them your product. If you have bought the product from Linertec please contact us we will do our best to help you get it.

Please note any products not listed in the Linertec One (1) Year Limited Warranty such as speakers, cables, wires and etc are not covered by warranty.
